What is the Global Venture Forum?

The Global Venture Forum, in its second year, is an invitation-only gathering that fosters business relationships and partnering across the Americas-Europe tech corridor. GVF 2014 includes Senior Executives from Amazon, A16Z, Cisco, Citi Ventures, Dell, eBay Marketplaces M&A, Index Ventures, Mozilla, SAP Ventures, Software AG, Telefonica Ventures, True Global Ventures, Europe's Angel of the Year and other industry leaders.

The 15 presenting CXOs and 25 profiled Global Venture Top 25 companies were selected from an original pool of 662 by an expert Selection Committee using Global Investment Readiness Criteria. 2014 domains include Internet-of-Things, Mobile, Cloud Services, Security/Privacy, eCommerce, Fintech and Virtual Currency.

By keeping the forum small, Delegates build relationships with potential syndication partners, corporate leaders and European tech CXOs in an efficient and informal way. Practitioners will describe the business value they derive from the market and tactics for successful venturing that begins outside the Silicon Valley.

Invited VC and corporate leaders are welcome to register here:

“…combined the early stage, angel world with the later stage corporate and
investment world in a comfortable, no-strings attached manner”

- 2013 GVF Delegate, VP Corporate Development

The 2014 Selection Committee includes domain experts from ThingMUSE, Software AG, Oracle, Morgenthaler (ex), Bitcoinbulls and Baker McKenzie. The GVF is possible due to their generous contribution of time and expertise.

Past and current partners include Europe Unlimited, The International Venture Club, iMinds, MBAs from the Haas School of Business & Engineers from École Polytechnique (Paris), Founder & Executive Director (frmr) Lester Center for Entrepreneurship, Fenwick & West, Deloitte, Consulate General of The Netherlands, Ministries of Economic Affairs, National Entrepreneurship Programs, and others.

The GVF was founded by a former Bay Area entrepreneur who spent the last five years working alongside entrepreneurs and VCs in Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Berlin, London, Antwerp, Barcelona and other European tech hubs. The thought was that by building upon cross-Atlantic networks and sharing experience, the ecosystem is stronger, investors more easily capture returns and entrepreneurs and industry leaders accelerate business.
